Today, MP3 MAG is excited to present the Premiere of Danny Goliger‘s “Accidents Happen” Music Video, which offers a Black Mirror-esque depiction of an online shopping-obsessed society and alluring backing track.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, Danny Goliger is a producer, DJ, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. He’s amassed a catalogue and acclaim the past few years via original tracks/remixes with labels such as Fantastic Voyage, Dirtybird, Tokimonsta’s Young Art Records, Hot Boi Records, and Moving Castle. An accomplished engineer, Danny worked for years in commercial recording studios in L.A. He’s a seasoned instrumentalist, and has contributed drums and keys to live shows with artists like Justin Jay and Mija. 

Danny has a passion for analog synths, using a hardware studio to produce a wide range of electronic music. He’s previously used outside-the-box themes and abstract expression on EP’s like Appliances, which showed his ability to find even household noises inspirational. Also known for eclectic, genre-bending DJ sets, Danny effortlessly mixes between styles including house, techno, breakbeat, jungle, electro, hip-hop and IDM.

“This is my first music video, so I entrusted the brilliant director Lachlan Turzcan with a lot of creative leeway,” Danny Goliger told MP3 MAG. “I relayed to him a general theme of the album, trying to capture the idea that we are living inside of a broken computer simulation. 

He took this dystopian theme and created the concept for the video, using the imagery of the Amazon delivery driver and his addicted customers to convey an overall commentary about society.”  

The video depicts a delivery man dropping off packages to various homeowners, who appear to be addicted and hoarding them. Upon opening, each character is stuck in a simulation-like glitch that adds to the abrasive, yet enticing vibe of the video. “Accidents Happen” is part of Goliger’s upcoming LP, Meaningful Pursuits.
