Mersiv’s MorFlo Records Recruits tiedye ky & Patches. for New 44.4 Radio Mix

Two is always better than one, which is why Mersiv’s 44.4 Radio has become one of our favorite curated mixes out there. Yesterday, the latest mix hit the web, featuring a treasure trove of music from tiedye ky and Patches..

Hosted via Mersiv’s imprint MorFlo Records, 44.4 Radio’s dual DJ/producer format has become a fan-favorite, highlighting acts such as NotLö, Kyral x Banko, and SPADES. It’s provided a wonderful showcase for up-and-coming acts, while providing a home for all things experimental bass.

For Vol. 06, the label picked two acts that together represent the MorFlo label and outside admiration for new sounds.

Patches. is a Michigan-native originating from the city of Ann Arbor, and longtime member of MorFlo Records. His Productions feature aggressive bass sound, and he’s worked with a range of artists, including FiYah, Angelic Root, and Super Future. His music has been featured on labels such as 40oz Collective, The Untz, MorFlo Records, Aspire Higher, and Wormhole Music Group. His mix is composed of mostly original music and a few unreleased gems.

Ever since the first 44.4 Radio mixes came out I knew I wanted to do one of these,” said Patches. “Andy has created such a great place to showcase his friends abilities. This mix contains a lot of unreleased music I have been writing during the last year, a couple homie tracks, and some of my favorite tracks. Huge thanks to Morflo, my team, and everyone who listens to this. I was also super excited to hear Tiedye Ky would be involved in this! Sit back, relax, and enjoy.”

tiedye ky is a Philadelphia-native, and surging name in the bass community. Creating “waves of diverse colors and sounds,” tiedye ky navigates different experimental genres in the vein electronic music. Utilizing analog sounds, wavy melodic pads, and deep distorted bass, the producer’s beats have been recognized for their originality. In 2020, the producer released the full length LP, Baby Blue and the Super Moon, and most recently he was featured on CloZee’s label compilation, Muzique Vol.01. tiedye ky’s mix features new unreleased music, and self-dubbed the “Buried Bone Mix.”

Andy (Mersiv) and I met outside of Philly at one of his shows,” tiedye ky told MP3 MAG. “I basically cold messaged him asking if I could come see the show and hang with him and Chloe (Clozee). I Immediately felt connected to everyone there. Since then we’ve performed together and kept in touch. When Andy asked me to do a mix for Morflo, I felt this was the perfect opportunity to showcase all of the unreleased music I’ve been sitting on. The nickname “BURIED BONES MIXTAPE” reflects the name of the new album I’m working on, which I’m not ready to reveal just yet. I look forward to working and performing with Andy and the Morflo team more in the future.”
