Break Science Releases Mecha Flora Single Ahead EP Release

Close your eyes and feel the music. That will happen when listening to the titular single off Break Science’s upcoming EP, Mecha Flora

The first single off the project, slated for February 2, dropped in January. “Mecha Flora” opens with an entrancing static effect, allowing the listener to dissolve into their chair and let the music take over. Ignore all negative thoughts and badgering ideas, and put them to the side.

After establishing the meditative setting, the song introduces a few new elements, light bells chime in the background, faint chants and steady, snapping synth ripples through the bassline.

Now, it’s time to dance.

The consistent 4/4 beats peak before fizzling into swirling synth while otherworldly percussion and deeper drum and bass thumps dance at the forefront. The chanting crescendoes with hollower-sounding synth.

Tapping back into the mood of the intro, sounds of rain coalesce near the halfway point, along  with the introduction of some tribal house elements.

The 4-minute dip into this calming yet bumping universe pulls the listener in with elements of trance and electronica.

Brooklyn-born producers Borahm Lee & Adam Deitch gang together to make up the duo, Break Science. This single, “Mecha Flora,” cements itself as their first single release since 2020.
