Esseks Conjures the Chaos With Latest Single, “Justice Served”
Visual artist and music producer Esseks is serving eerie, head-bopping, vibes in “Justice Served,” the second single off of his upcoming EP, The Uncertain Future.
Capturing the looming essence of chaos and anxiety into rhythm and sound, “Justice Served” is a chilling 1:43-second track that was written during the COVID-19 pandemic, a dark time of isolation for the Brooklyn-based artist.
Following the recent release of the title track on “The Uncertain Future,“ this second single’s high-pitched synths pair perfectly with heavy, wonky basslines and a steady beat, creating an ominous, but thrilling roller coaster in under two minutes.
Never failing to combine music with a visual experience, Esseks also created his own twisted interpretation of tarot cards for the upcoming EP, using the Justice card as a fitting inspiration for the “Justice Served” artwork.
“To me, they [the tarot cards] represent the anxious need to try and predict or control the future,” Esseks said, directly relating those feelings with the uncertain times of the pandemic.
