Chee Leaves Listeners Starry-Eyed With New Track ‘Spangled’ via Deadbeats
Most know of Deadbeats as Zeds Dead’s absolute heater of a label that pushes some of the most talented and eclectic music to ever grace the base scene. This legacy continues as South African producer Chee brings his signature sound to the label. As his one and only solo release in 2022 thus far, Chee has come out swinging with his newest single, “Spangled,” a heater from start to finish.
Providing the deep soundscapes that Chee exemplifies throughout his project, “Spangled” creates a dark and eerie feel throughout the track with the use of moody deep basslines, mysterious machine noises, and distorted static, this track is an ode to all things spooky, making it the perfect track for to be rinsing out during the Halloween season.
Chee continues his rise with Deadbeats LA this November alongside artists such as Notlö and Blanke. It is no doubt that Chee has continued his ascension to the forefront of the bass scene and has made a huge name for himself not only through Deadbeats but also with his heart-pounding, freeform beats.
