Deadbeats Releases Stacked Label Compilation, We Are Deadbeats Vol. 5
In today’s electronic bass scene, there are numerous different collectives, labels, and groups that are all striving to make their mark in the music world. For those who know Deadbeats, the renowned record label headed by Zeds Dead, know that they release nothing short of bangers from established and up-and-coming artists for us all to enjoy.
Debuting in 2017, We Are Deadbeats has served as the perfect compilation to showcase these artists and their latest releases all in one place, curating a series of absolute heaters from past artists such as Mersiv and Subtronics. Today they are back again with the fifth rendition of this release series, turning heads with the massive artist roster for this 18-track compilation.
Geared to feature 2022’s hottest up-and-coming bass artists, We Are Deadbeats Vol. 5 perfectly showcases the immense talent of 20 bass artists from across the scene. To give a few examples of the stellar work presented: Tape B brings forth “Melodic Blue” which was inspired by his previous “Collapse” remix, Deadcrow gets heavy with his release of “Darkness Interim,” and Abelation and Saka team up to put together a deep and wonky soundscape with “Elite.” Additional singles by MYTHM, capshun, Zingara, NotLö, Smoakland, sfam, and many others round out the underground sound of the compilation.
All 18 of these tracks encompass the holistic sound that Deadbeats is known for. Each and every artist brings the heat with their individuality, keeping the legend of both Zed’s Dead and the label Deadbeats at the forefront of the EDM scene.
