What better way to spend your Cinco De Mayo weekend other than at a Tipper & Friends music event? 

Today, the highly anticipated announcement was sent out to registered Tipper email subscribers, sharing that this year’s event will take place May 5-7 at the legendary Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

This year, T&F falls on Cinco de Mayo weekend, a holiday that celebrates the Mexican Army’s victory over France during the Franco-Mexican War. While this date could have just worked out nicely for their team, Dave Tipper himself is known for putting intention behind everything he does in his projects.

In the Tipper Community Facebook page, he explained the decision behind the date:

“Synergy is everything because it can be a validation of Intent when the opportunity presents itself. Our 5th Edition falling on the 5th of the 5th (which is also a Full Moon – the theme at two previous editions).. ‘Cinco’ aka ‘5’ abounds. Thinking back over the missed years, and then landing our 5th one on the 5th of the 5th – it seemed ‘obvious.’ Cultural Appropriation? No. Cultural Celebration? Absolutely. So Cinco de Mayo is a happy coincidence we’ve woven into our 5th Suwannee event.”

Tipper and Friends events are known to be intimate gathers focused on experimental music and high-end production. So while a lineup has not been released yet, fans are going to sell this event out shortly after it goes on sale.
