REZZ, INZO — “The Descent”

On the surface, REZZ and INZO is an unlikely pairing — especially for a track that featured on REZZ’s self-proclaimed “heaviest album to date.” But “The Descent” somehow comes together for a perfect harmony of REZZ’s traditional, deep, distorted sound and whirling, spooky bass.

The track works because it doesn’t try to adapt INZO’s melodic style in any obvious ways (which would have given the track an identity crisis). Instead, INZO’s influence is a much more subtle nod found in sound design choices and dizzying, choppy bass.

Supafly, Waka Flocka Flame, CARCA, HVRR — “If You Don’t Like To Party (Ft. HVRR) — CARCA Remix”

Supafly’s “If You Don’t Like To Party is a hodgepodge of hip-hop influences and house music aesthetics. With a fresh verse from Waka Flock Flame and the iconic synth sample from one of Jay Z and Kanye West’s biggest hits, CARCA’s “If You Don’t Like To Party” remix is the definition of a club anthem, without losing the heart and spirit of modern dance music.

Sometimes, this kind of contemporary combination of influences can feel forced or corney, but not here. This song is a banger, through and through. You can dance, you can scream the hook, and you can definitely party to this one.

Nora En Pure — “Invasion of the Believers”

“Invasion of the Believers” is a triumphant, melodic ode to epic dance parties, turning ravers into gladiators and dancefloors into collusiums. This battlefield is fueled by house music, and as long as you keep dancing, the war rages on.

With a healthy mix of violin, trumpets, and shakers, “Invasion of the Believers” is a stadium-ready banger that feels like Nora En Pure’s greatest victory. There’s even some epic choir vocals to add on to the slightly-spiritual and ancient vibe, which brings the theatrical sonic experience to a climax that Shakespeare would be proud of (and this song would surely turn the legendary poet into a full-time raver).

Big Gigantic, Smoakland — “Always Wanna Talk”

First teased at Red Rocks last year during Big Gigantic‘s electrifying performance, “Always Wanna Talk” is a certified banger and collaboration worth celebrating. Big Gigantic, esteemed legends in the electronic and touring realms, join forces with rising stars Smoakland to deliver an unforgettable track. Notably, Smoakland’s ascent is underscored by their recent signing with Red Light Management, alongside notable acts like Mersiv, A Hundred Drums, Tripp St., and Zen Selekta. “Always Wanna Talk” embodies everything fans could anticipate, blending Big Gigantic’s signature live anthem vibe with a thrilling dubstep-infused journey. It’s a sonic adventure that mirrors the excitement of their basketball promos (with fingers crossed for Anthony’s ankle!).

Cloonee — “Sippin’ Yak”

I’ve yet to witness Cloonee‘s magic firsthand, but I’ve certainly daydreamed about being swept away at one of his legendary parties. “Sippin’ Yak,” a track that’s been long-awaited, undoubtedly provided the soundtrack to those fantasies, and now it’s finally available on streaming platforms. Cloonee’s infectious grooves and electric atmosphere are simply irresistible, and it’s going to be a blast watching him soar even higher. Catch him in action as he goes back-to-back with Chris Lake at Elements Festival later this year, and of course don’t miss his headline performance at Club Space this week to kick off Music Week.

11-year-old prodigy Mesophonic returns after his January stage appearance with Shaq, presenting a light-hearted, wub-y tune titled “Professor Deez.” Inspired by the classic “deez nuts” vine, this track highlights the deeper bass end of his expanding production palette. Mesophonic’s youthful energy and innovative spirit are evident, positioning him as a standout talent in the electronic music world. With “Professor Deez,” he continues to carve his path, signaling a promising future in the industry.

Josh Teed, Skye Salinsky — “Wildfire”

“Wildfire” showcases Josh Teed’s talent to combine his signature instrumental sound with a catchy beat. Skye Silansky’s voice compliments the song beautifully and the drop is an unexpected twist that makes this song stand out from Teed’s latest EP, Taking it All in.

Marshmello, SVDDEN DEATH – “Vortexblade”

“Vortexblade” uses fun, weird sounds to ease into a riddim beat, making this song the perfect introduction for the riddim-curious listener. It’s one of five new songs in Marshmello and SVDDEN DEATH’s debut collaborative EP: MELLODEATH Tapes Vol. 1. The duo has blended their styles into a heavy, happy medium, ranging from SVDDEN DEATH’s signature take on riddim and heavy metal, to more upbeat dubstep that portrays Marshmello’s newfound sound.

The duo stunned fans with their b2b set at EDC Las Vegas in 2023, premiering Marshmello’s official transition to the dark side of dubstep. They’ve since hinted that performance was just the beginning of their collaboration – pushing the boundaries of genre-blending music.
