FRASER & SEXPAYS Collab On House-y EP, Midnight Beasts
Joining forces on their new collaborative EP, Midnight Beasts, house producers SEXPAYS and FRASER are ready to launch into the next phase of their careers and respective sounds.
Talking about the EP’s inspiration, FRASER said, “The inspiration and direction for this EP to me would be to pay homage to classic, raw sounding French House/French Touch from the late 90s & early 00’s. I want to bring this sound back; I feel it’s a timeless genre.”
Hailing from Canada, FRASER is a veteran in the electronic scene with a decade-plus experience as a DJ and producer. Recently, he earned a diploma for in-depth learning of Audio Recording Technology, and offers a diverse sound design via his three other projects of Dustin Miles, BORDERZ, and The Starfighter.
“Edgy and at times explicit,” SEXPAYS received a ban twice from Twitch due to ‘mature content.’ This inspired him to pivot more towards tongue-and-check vibes that still thrive in the NYC underground electronic scene.
Midnight Beasts is a treat that offers the best from both producers. Vibrant basslines and innovative, catching sound design are just a few of the reasons to give it a full listen. The “vintage French house” and disco the producers sought to create rides current tastes and trends, but offers something altogether unique and evocative.
