Tree Theater — “Ocean Raves”

Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Tree Theater has released his sixth studio album, The Space Coast. Named after its writing and recording origins of the Cocoa area of Florida – also known as the “space coast” – the nine-track album fuses house rhythms alongside soulful surf instrumentals, taking you to a place where Earth and the outer world intersect. “Ocean Raves” is a beautiful melodic house track, featuring pulsing synths, cheeky percussion, and ethereal vocals that literally make you feel like you’re coasting along a sunsetting horizon.

Chris Lake, Aatig, Cloonee — “In The Yuma” (Cloonee’s At The Sahara Remix)

Chris Lake’s 2022 release, “In The Yuma” has been a fan favorite ever since its inception. But, in 2024, it’s finding new life once again with Cloonee’s intoxicating, minimal “In The Sahara” remix.

Cloonee’s remix is a stripped back, industrial take on Chris Lake’s original tune, and the result is a simple, classic house tune that highlights the incredible impact simplicity can have on the dancefloor.

LP Giobbi, Mascolo — “So Nice To Be In Love”

“So Nice To Be In Love” is as sweet as the title suggests. There’s a quaint energy to LP Giobbi and Mascolo’s new track that feels like dancing in a field of sunflowers on a hot summer day, intoxicated by new romance and rose-tinted perspective.

There’s not a care in the world that can overcome the sweet melodies in “So Nice To Be In Love.” The track is heavily inspired by 70’s psychedelic aesthetics and disco soundtracks, with rolling synths and retro piano sounds that lay the groundwork for a lovely listening experience.

Gordo, Drake — “Sideways”

In 2022, Drake surprised the pop world by dropping an entire album dedicated to house and dance music, which, by and large, fell flat for the dance music community, and contemporary music listeners as well. Thankfully, he makes a second attempt with Gordo’s “Sideways” off Gordo’s newest album, DIAMANTE, which is executively produced by Drake.

The track is tropical, and smooth as butter. “Sideways” could easily be the soundtrack to nighttime pool party in Tulum, or a beach-side sunset party in Ibiza. Wherever you’re listening, this tune is best enjoyed with a rum runner in hand, and sand beneath your feet.

Empire Of The Sun, PNAU — “AEIOU”

Even though Empire Of The Sun’s global fan base had waited years for the duo to release new music, their spectacular return across 2024 has made it all worth it. After building hype for their long-awaited fourth studio album, Ask That God, with hit singles “Changes,”
“Cherry Blossom,” and “Music On The Radio,” the day for the entire LP to drop has finally arrived.

Although we recommend this album be listened to in its entirety – as each track offers a unique sonic palette and level of energy – “AEIOU” tops our list. A collaboration with PNAU (the award-winning electronic act of Empire Of The Sun’s Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore), originally released this past March, this song encompasses beautiful synths, spellbinding lyrics, and a powerful message.

In “Hangin’ On,” Matroda takes a melodic approach with the vocals while maintaining intense rises and cresendos. The first drop features some of his heaviest basslines, delivering a powerful, all-consuming sound. The second drop intensifies the experience with a more pronounced rise and added technical elements, amplifying the track’s energy.

thinkinsounds — “Noon Sun” (EddyThron pres. Aloft Mix)

If you are looking for your weekly dose of organic and ethnic house, then you came to the right place. DJ-producer hybrid EddyThron’s side project Aloft is continuing to pick up steam with his rendition of thinkinsounds “Noon Sun.” This anthem sends listeners on a journey to the sonic Sahara with its infectious bassline and exotic layering of drums.

Aloft’s remix maintains the original’s core chords and textures while steering the arrangement in a fresh direction. Utilizing the tense chord progression, he incorporates an array of percussive elements around the melodies, significantly enhancing the track. A standout feature is the gypsy-like melody introduced midway, taking center stage and distinguishing his remix from the original.
