The six-track EP showcased his masterful sound design and pioneering approach to electronic experimentation, reconstructing musical conventions and challenging rhythmic boundaries.

A standout moment on the EP, the track “The First,” served as a heartfelt tribute to his late friend, Charles the First—an emotional highlight in the body of work.

deadmau5 — “Strobe” (Victor Ruiz Remix)

The timeless “Strobe” has received a fresh perspective with a three-track remix EP featuring new interpretations from Victor Ruiz and OddKidOut, alongside Layton Giordani’s 15th-anniversary remix. 

Victor Ruiz delivers a captivating techno rework, layering pulsating rhythms and immersive soundscapes that breathe new life into the original. His take pays homage to deadmau5’s influence while pushing “Strobe” into a darker, club-ready direction. 

This EP not only celebrates the legacy of one of electronic music’s most iconic tracks but also highlights its ability to inspire a new generation of producers with fresh, innovative sounds.

Max Styler, Clüb De Combat — “On Repeat”

Max Styler and Clüb De Combat join forces for “On Repeat,” a hard-hitting house anthem marking the finale of an exceptional year for John Summit’s label, Experts Only. With deep, driving basslines and thumping four-on-the-floor rhythms, the track channels an electrifying energy that showcases the duo’s dynamic synergy. 

Max Styler builds on his momentum from hits like “Lights Out’ and his remix of John Summit’s ‘Tears,’ while Israeli-based Clüb De Combat continue to solidify their breakout status following their acclaimed Exciter EP. “On Repeat”’ is a bold statement, blending the unique sounds of these rising talents with forceful precision.

Jade Cicada — “Frame Shift”

Jade Cicada returns with “Frame Shift,” his first original release since the acclaimed Pressure Gamut nearly two years ago. Known for blending intricate jazz theory with cutting-edge sound design, Jade delivers a refined evolution of his signature style. The track marks his debut production in Bitwig, showcasing a cleaner, more deliberate arrangement where every sound shines in its own space. 

Moving away from his densely layered past, “Frame Shift” embodies a sophisticated simplicity that highlights Jade Cicada’s growth as a producer while continuing to push the boundaries of electronic music innovation.

Lumasi, Ozztin — “Smooth”

Rising bass act Lumasi caps off his breakout year with his first EP, Sun & Moon. “Smooth” closes out the 5-track project, offering fans the patented spacey, low end wubs and spacious soundscapes. 2024 saw Lumasi join Red Light Management, headline a 35+ date national tour, and go viral behind multiple tracks and social media videos. We’re looking forward to what’s in store for Lumasi in 2025.
