Kyral x Banko are Back for More Fun on Latest Banger, “OMG WTF” [Premiere]
The acronyms “OMG” and “WTF” are frequently used to describe the off-the-wall sounds of Kyral x Banko, so the experimental bass duo decided to coin a track that follows suit. Premiering a day before its widespread release on WTF’s THAT COMPILATON VOL. 4, KxB are debuting their latest single, “OMG WTF,“ via MP3 MAG.
Kyral x Banko’s sound has grown since debuting in 2012, evolving from heavy trap roots to a more experimental approach that incorporates both bass and hip-hop elements. Original rap vocals, live drums and a barrage of transitions through tempos and genres fuel the unrivaled energy of their stage performance.
Last month, the eclectic duo made their debut on WAKAAN by unleashing the Snoitch EP, their largest release to date and a universe of their own design. The project offers trippy animations and beats that provide insight into KxB’s fun, fervently produced music project.
“OMG WTF” picks up where the Snoitch story left off, opening with an ominous soundscape and curious noises scattering off in the sonic distance. The signature KxB percussion clocks in at :13, welcoming a wonky basslines that slowly ushers itself in. Accented by “Oh-my-god,” listeners are hit with the first slow-moving drop at :40, offering heavy bass and a hip-hop feel.
The track will be featured on tomorrow’s release from WTF’s That Sound, WTF’S THAT COMPILATION VOL. 4, a series that has helped break and amplify artists throughout the bass scene. The album features tracks from buutler, G Dubz, BASSGAZM, NiRAYA, Peakie, REISHIO, and XENOTYPE.
