Khiva Showcases Storytelling Abilities Through ‘Phantom Force’ EP
It is no secret that femme fatale DJ and rapper Khiva is paving a path as she creates her own unique style that has become an absolute sensation throughout the electronic music scene. While Khiva is known for her high-energy bass sets, she has come to be even more known for the distinctive sound she has designed for herself, producing an iconic combination of both rap and bass music that is solely hers.
Showcasing these stories over top of her infectious downtempo bass beats, each song she puts forth paints a new picture for listeners to imagine, making every song its own distinctive journey. She continues this model for her music with her latest EP release, Phantom Force, which encapsulates her eccentric stories through the use of rap.
Providing a blueprint with her iconic deep dub soundscapes, Khiva has used each of the four tracks on this EP to broadcast her inclinations towards her emotionally driven deep bass tendencies and haunting lyrical songwriting. Every one of these songs tells a very different story that all blends into one cohesive atmospheric work.
Both “Poetic Violence” and “Signs” provide more haunting melodic vocals in contrast to the other tracks on this EP, colliding both Khiva’s ability to combine more soft-sounding downtempo tracks with her more uptempo wubby rap track into one cohesive compilation of tunes that is not to be missed.
This release sets the stage for her to continue to catapult into the limelight as she embarks on the rest of her tour dates now through the end of the year. Khiva’s unadulterated and unique sound is definitely one that will reach new heights with each and every release, as she continues to share her stories and emotions with her listeners.
