Meow Wolf’s ‘Gone Fishing’ Casts a Spell at Texas Eclipse 2024
Prepare to be hooked by Meow Wolf’s latest immersive experience ‘Gone Fishing‘ at the Texas Eclipse Festival from April 5-8, 2024. This enchanting lakeside world, reminiscent of classic Texas fishing holes, promises an eclectic mix of performances and interactive fun under the grand Texas sky.
Alexandra Renzo, Meow Wolf’s Creative Director of Performance, is thrilled about the lineup. “We’re collaborating with an incredible mix of artists – from circus performers and burlesque artists to puppeteers and modern dancers,” she says. “Gone Fishing will be a whirlpool of theatrical adventures, whether you choose to dive in or just watch from the shore.”
The performer lineup reads like a who’s who of the avant-garde: Bender Flames, Bobbi Dangerously, Claos the Clown, and many more, are set to entice festival-goers with a blend of absurdity and allure. Expect daytime performances as light as a lakeside breeze, followed by Neo-Burlesque shows under the cloak of twilight.
Guests are invited to interact with the quirky locals, make a wish upon a fish, and perhaps even seek wisdom from the psychic catfish. This peculiar seer of the deep is just one of the many characters adding to the mystical aura of the event.
Set in Reveille Peak Ranch, Texas Eclipse, led by Mitch Morales, isn’t just about music and art. It’s a celebration of science, celestial wonder, and a total solar eclipse. With over 300 performers and speakers, it promises to be an unforgettable blend of artistic expression and cosmic fascination.
