K3SS, Dan Miles (US), XIMXIA — “Goodbye”

One of the fastest rising artists in the progressive scene, K3SS has been lighting it up with spellbinding anthems left and right. Now, he teams up with fellow skilled DJ-producer Dan Miles and singer-songwriter XIMXIA on their mind-bending single, “Goodbye.”

While “Goodbye” still weaves in a balance of K3SS and Dan’s signature progressive styles, it is backed by a more thrilling techno-centric bassline, that keeps its audience on the edge of their seats throughout. Paired with seductive vocals from XIMXIA and this release is primed for not only its encompassing label Scorchin’ Progressive but premiere dancefloors as well.

SIPPY — “The Banana Song”

Overflowing with feel-good, funky vibes and wobble-inducing wubs, SIPPY’s “The Banana Song” is my favorite bass track of the year so far. Bass music should be fun and make you smile, but should have its moments of getting you hyped and headbanging as well. This track exceedingly accomplishes both feats, and even though it was released on April Fools’ Day as somewhat of a comedic anthem, the MP3 team believes it will rapidly grow to be one of SIPPY’s biggest hits.

Another driving factor that makes this track stand out is the story leading up to it. The label it dropped on, Monstercat, had a 3-week, 24/7 live stream of a real-life banana which led to thousands of viewers speculating on what was going on. Reminiscent of historic wub-fueled tunes like “Dear Weed Man,” the Rasta vibes are heavy throughout “The Banana Song,” making you want to break out in dance like the animated Bananadan in the song’s music video.

TVBOO, Mport — “Cha Cha Step”

Stepping up the energy a bit from “The Banana Song” but still embracing TVBOO’s infectious style of comedy, “Cha Cha Step” is a mesmerizing flip of the classic song we used to all dance to as kids. Joining forces with Mport, this banger is a melting pot of bass terminology, such as wook, wubs, and headbang, complementing its hair-raising wonky drops that are guaranteed to throw crowds into a psychedelic trance.

Eran Hersh, Kasango — “Ascension”

Eran Hersh and Kasango are two artists that you 100% need to have on your sonic radar this year. They have both been killing it with chart-topping, ethnically-charged Afro house anthems, along with riveting live performances. “Ascension” may very well be one of their best tracks yet, powered by a variety of bongos, other crisp percussive elements, and enchanting vocals.
