Maddy O’Neal, Defunk — “Come For You”
Maddy O’Neal and Defunk’s latest single, “Come For You” is a delightfully strange fusion of 303 acid house, melodic future bass, and hybrid trap sounds that synchronize for a wild listening experience from beginning to end.
It’s a track that keeps listeners on their toes with surprises around every corner, and deliberately challenges the duo’s respected reputations for funky sound design and groovy tendencies. Because although “Come For You” starts out with melodic overtones, the track quickly ventures into a much more experimental sonic realm. Whatever you’re expecting, think again.
