Introducing MP3 SELECTS, our weekly rundown of new music releases and our updated playlists on Spotify. Check out this week’s round up below:

PALLADIAN – “Zagara”

After a series of successful collaborations, Barcelona-based Italian electronica duo PALLADIAN have released their debut full-length album, Ocra. Out via Emancipator’s Loci Records, the album is a sultry and warm taste of feel-good electronica. In fact, with the album title meaning “ochre” in Italian, the collection oversees the duo’s earthy and warm palette of musical influences and style. “Zagara” – meaning “orange blossom” in Italian – in particularly bursts with upbeat rhythms and organic melodies, similar to that of the sweet nostalgia of blossoming flowers in spring. It’s a beautifully-composed album that brings forth the familiarity of music with a little extra spice of something new.

Sugar Nova – “Make Me Howl, Make Me Shake”

Denver-based indie-electronic duo Sugar Nova have dropped their debut album, Halogen. Comprised of Lotus’ Luke Miller and Raven Jane’s Rachel Eisenstat, Sugar Nova brings forth the sounds of all things sultry and sweet. The nine-track debut collection showcases a breath of fresh air for electronic pop as the two weave intoxicating rhythms and gorgeous harmonies through rhythmic dance melodies. “Make Me How, Make Me Shake” ends the album on a high note as Rachel’s velvety voice cuts through a tropical percussion backing and into an easy, breezy sonic dream. Having never performed the duo live before, Sugar Nova will celebrate the album release with a debut performance at Denver’s The Roxy on Broadway on May 20th with a supporting opening set by JackLNDN.
