LP Giobbi

LP Giobbi is the forward-thinking, boundary-breaking artist disrupting dance music today. Widely known for her bass-rattling house beats and electrifying live performances, the Oregon-born, Austin-based legend in the making is a “creative multi-hyphenate” (Billboard): an inspirational producer, DJ, label owner, curator, music director, feminist, entrepreneur and Piano House Queen. Since first breaking into the scene in 2018, she’s become one of the fastest-rising artists in dance music, with both Billboard Dance and Your EDM anointing her as an emerging artist to watch.

Mixing her background as a classically trained jazz pianist—she studied at UC Berkeley—with her first love of piano house, LP Giobbi crafts genre-defying dance music. Her 2018 debut single, “Amber Rose,” features “glossy production” (PAPER) and bold, feminist-first lyrics atop soulful piano chords. In Nov. 2019, she teamed up with Thrive Music to release “Jungle Queen,” a “vibrant single” (Billboard) featuring Baltimore club queen TT The Artist and the first installment in a series of forthcoming singles on the label throughout 2020. This track is also featured on the highly anticipated FIFA 2021 soundtrack. LP’s aptly named track “Meet Again” featuring Little Boots, released during the height of the pandemic, landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Friday Cratediggers and included on Mint and Dance Party. The sentiment of the track and magic of the pairing ignited further support at radio from Diplo’s Revolution, Groove Radio, KISS (UK) and BBC Radio One including Pete Tong and Mistajam who anointed the track a Future and Today’s Dance Anthem. Her most recent release, Playing My Role, includes “Scuff Your Soul” and “Take Me Higher” both featuring hermixalot. “Scuff Your Soul” has seen immediate radio adds at Diplo’s Revolution and Capital Dance. Her recent tracks include “Move Your Body” released on Insomniac Records and “Take My Hand” on Sofi Tukker’s imprint, Animal Talk. Her most recent release, “Take My Hand” landed her on the cover of three playlists including Spotify’s Friday Cratediggers, Amazon’s Fresh Dance and Deezer’s New Dance.

LP Giobbi is a multifaceted entrepreneur and bona fide industry executive. In addition to her role as the North American Music Director for W Hotels, she is a co-owner of Animal Talk, a hybrid publishing company (a joint venture with Third Side Music), record label, event brand, traveling party and artist collective she co- founded with GRAMMY-nominated electronic duo SOFI TUKKER.

An ardent feminist and an advocate for gender equality, LP Giobbi is also the founder of FEMME HOUSE, an educational platform and 501(c)(3), created to address the lack of representation and equity in electronic music by empowering women and non-binary people in the technical areas of music. Launched at Moogfest 2019, FEMME HOUSE has partnered with and has been sponsored by international music brands and manufacturers like Roland, Moog, Dolby, Ableton and Native Instruments. Their vision is to create future producers, mixers, and engineers of the industry by offering educational workshops, building a community, and propagating visual representation. They go the extra mile as well with professional development resources such as networking, mentorship, and more. Recently, LP launched a weekly radio show called Femme House Radio on Diplo’s Revolution featuring interviews and mixes from female and non binary producers, womxn in music and the best dance tunes from around the world.

As a performer, LP Giobbi is an unstoppable force on the stage. Armed with a host of instruments, including a piano and sampler, she mixes live elements into her high-energy sets. She’s already delivered next-level performances at marquee events like Coachella, Burning Man, HARD Summer, MTV’s SnowGlobe, Moogfest, North Coast Music Festival, and Art Basel. Her groundbreaking shows have won her the support of leading artists like Diplo, Madeon, Galantis, Jax Jones, SOFI TUKKER and Hotel Garuda, who’ve personally invited her on tour and to share the stage at premier venues like the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles and Brooklyn Mirage in NYC. Since the pandemic, LP continues to engage with her fans with weekly livestreams on Twitch and BeApp including a Saturday House Hymns set weekly on Insomniac TV and Blond:ish’s Abracadabra Twitch Channel.
