Max Styler, Oscar L — “Addiction / Yapper”

Max Styler has teamed up with the legend Oscar L to deliver two fiery house tracks, “Addiction” and “Yapper.” While both have been in regular rotation for Styler’s summer sets, each track now comes to streaming platforms with a proper mastering. “Addiction” refers to what Styler does best, which is getting people addicted to the bass grooves, drums, and rave life. “Yapper” could mark one of Styler’s best tracks yet, combining pulsating bass and distorted “yapping” vocals that play on the yappers that we can never understand nor really care to listen to when trying to get lost in the music on the dancefloor.

LVNDR.SOUND — “In The Dark”

Denver-based livetronica trio LVNDR.SOUND have released their new single, “In The Dark.” The new single comes alongside the trio’s announcement of their forthcoming sophomore album of the same name, due out next month via Perception Records. As the title track, “In The Dark” is a moody dance bop full of classic electronic elements, acoustic guitar, live-recorded chorus, and “humanistic” sounds. It’s a great track to transition into the chilling autumn season.

Fred Again.., Joy Anonymous — “Peace You Need”

Fred Again’s long awaited Ten Day album is officially out, and the highly-emotional project is loaded with uplifting house and indie-electronic music from beginning to end. There are several standouts, especially on the back end of the record. But, if we have to pick one, “Peace You Need” with Joy Anonymous is an absolute must-listen.

The track is an uplifting, optimistic indie dance track embodying enough soul to fill a southern chapel on Easter Sunday (with some grand piano chords to match). The music befits the title perfectly, exploring a delicate, sincere notion of humanity’s everlasting peace-finding mission, and celebrating the best characteristics of the world’s kindest souls.

The Widdler — “Squatly”

Only The Widdler could pull off a 43 track album — and with his newest project, Zero G, that’s exactly what he did. There’s endless bangers and dubstep smashers to sift through on Zero G, but if you’re looking for a tried and true, deep dubstep track, “Squatly” (track 27) is calling your name.

The track is a fun, simple tune that embraces dubsteps wubbiest tendencies and classic, grimy appeal. It’s the kind of song that you might see fans “signing” along with on the dancefloor (although they’re not saying words, they’re just saying “womp womp womp”). This one will make you throw your hands up and jump through the roof.
