Introducing MP3 SELECTS, our weekly rundown of new music releases and our updated playlists on Spotify. Check out this week’s round up below:

The Sponges – “Makes Me Feel Good”

Final last words: Love. Death. Funk? This is the name of The Sponges’ biggest EP release to date, which sees the funky house duo weave together five groovy four-on-the-four tracks for a seamless listening experience. Out via Box Of Cats, the duo indeed take listeners through an alternate sonic dimension of funky bass-fueled old-school sampledelica. The EP’s middle track, “Makes Me Feel Good” winds up into a vintage rhythmic house beat, chock full of funky bass, soulful vocal samples, and sultry dancefloor feels.

CloZee – “Microworlds”

As her first single release of 2023 and for over a year, CloZee comes back into the sparkling bass spotlight with her new single, “Microworlds.” As the title track from her upcoming album, “Microworlds” paves the path for a new era of sound production for the producer. The track winds up anthemic synths and analogs alongside harmonizing worldly vocals that drop into a world of pulsating rhythms and choppy bass. CloZee continues to bring forth feelings of togetherness through her music, as the intro’s harmonizing vocals swirl back into the track and unite listeners and fans from around the world. CloZee is set to unite fans around the world with her worldly bass music this summer as she embarks on a global tour which will see her perform at Sonic Bloom, Bass Coast, Lollapalooza Paris, and Electric Castle.

Modapit – “Out Of Control”

Although shrouded in their signature fishnet veil, Modapit’s latest single “Out Of Control” is anything but. Revving up their debut album, the producer has been unfolding an audio-visual narrative surrounding the shadows of underground dance music. While listeners got a first taste of the forthcoming LP with “Dancing” and “Falling In Love,” “Out Of Control” transitions into a darker, more European techno-inspired side of the mysterious producer. While only spanning two-minutes, sometimes less is more as a healthy dose of rolling basslines, euphoric vocal samples, and pulsating rhythms drive the new track to the sultry dancefloors around the world. It’s also accompanied by a stunning, dark and underground themed music video, which you can watch here. Although just emerging into the music scene in January, the producer will make their live debut at EDC Las Vegas next month.
