What is Art Basel Miami? Art Basel is an international art fair staged annually in Basel, Switzerland, as well as in Hong Kong, Paris, and Miami. The convention and event itself offer leading galleries from five continents showing significant works by masters of modern and contemporary art.

December 1-3: Zamna Festival Miami ft. The Chemical Brothers, Diplo, Camelphat + More

VENUE: Island Gardens

Acclaimed Tulum-based festival, Zamna, is making its Art Basel debut with an exclusive lineup of events and artists from December 1-3. 

Hosted in Miami Island Gardens, the series will be headlined by dance icons The Chemical Brothers (Dec. 1), dance and radio superstar Diplo (Dec. 2), internationally acclaimed Ukrainian duo ARTBAT alongside UK house sensations CAMELPHAT (Dec. 3), plus more.

Zamna has garnered a reputation as one of the most authentic and unique Tulum party experiences. It is known for bringing world-class DJs to the heart of the jungle in the paradise-like Mexican Caribbean, where nature, free spirit, and cutting-edge production technology all coexist. Zamna is acclaimed for its incredible design and music stages that are works of art. Expect them to bring the same magic to Miami’s top art week this December.

December 1: Elrow ft. BLOND:ISH, Cloonee, Dombresky + More

VENUE: Factory Town

One of the craziest parties in international danceland, Elrow, returns to Art Basel with a topical lineup and a new theme…Delusionville.

Hosted in the urban and industrial maze that is Factory Town, 2022’s Elrow is a live reinterpretation of the famous POPaganda art movement from the mind of “art phenom,” Ron English. This year’s art aesthetic will fuse English’s most radical, satirical, and humorous art with a modern art gallery unparalleled even during Basel week.

As far as the lineup, Elrow is headlined by international dance icon BLOND:ISH, mainstay Dombresky, as well as rising talent Cloonee. The event will also feature a special guest set from Elrow regular Paco Osuna.

December 1: Space Basel ft. Black Coffee, AMÉMÉ

VENUE: Club Space

From Grammy nominations to Ibiza prominence to Drake collaborations, Black Coffee has been one of the most prominent names in dance music on an international level. 

The international superstar producer will help kick off Club Space’s Basel weekend with a Terrace set that includes performances from afro-house artist AMÉMÉ and a hybrid DJ set from WhoMadeWho.

December 2: Masquerade 2 ft. Claptone, Vintage Culture, Lee Foss +More

VENUE: Space Park Pop Up

Claptone’s Masquerade pop-up party will be held at Space Park Miami during Basel week and will feature some of the hottest techno artists. Events hosted at Space Park are the perfect blend of an adult playground mixed with trippy designs, disco balls, magic school buses, and groovy art designs which are fitting for a party like this. 

Headlining the event is Vintage Culture, one of the hottest international DJ acts out of Brazil. Recently clocking in at No. 11 on DJ Mag’s annual DJ rankings, this will be one of the more clamored-for sets of the week — one of the two chances to catch him if you miss his headlining gig at Space earlier in the week.

December 2: AFTERLIFE MIAMI 2022 ft. Tale of Us, Cassian + More

VENUE: Factory Town

If you’re a fan of house or techno, you’ve undoubtedly seen or heard of Afterlife as one of the premier production-centered parties in the globe. Helmed by Tale of Us, the iconic floating figure and exotic stage setup have become iconic and highly clamored for wherever they set up and play music.

On December 2, Afterlife will takeover growing Miami staple Factory Town for what promises to be one of the most electric parties of Art Basel week this year. 

The lineup is of course led by Tale of Us, but also features exciting names such as Cassian, Mind Against, Joy Odyssey, and more.

December 3: Honey Dijon’s Playground ft. Honey Dijon, DJ Holographic, Derrick Carter + More

VENUE: Space Park Pop Up

Honey Dijon has become one of the most celebrated names in dance music, and in Miami, she’s simply an icon. Fresh off the release of her new album, Black Girl Magic, Honey Dijon has been on an international touring tear and was even featured in the New York Times.

Joining her for this special return to Miami and de-facto album release party will be Detroit-raised funk master DJ Holographic, Derrick Carter, and more.

December 4-6: Basel Closing at Club Space

VENUE: Club Space

Closing out our list is of course the Basel Closing Party at Club Space, a staple event in any Miami-regulars annual pilgrimage for Art Basel. This 30-hour non-stop rave will be ‘the stuff of legend’ with a lineup TBD. If you haven’t experienced a Miami sunrise atop the Terrace, this might be one of the best opportunities to knock it off your bucket list.
