New Orleans-based act Merger is among the fast-emerging names in today’s House scene. Formed by Paul Tabary and David Moolekamp, the duo’s passions and sounds blend seamlessly in both the underground and mainstream scenes of dance music.

Merger has been peer-supported by heavyweights such as Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Don Diablo, Hardwell, and Nicky Romero, and placed releases with international imprints such as Revealed Recordings (Gemstone), Hexagon (Sub Religion), Enhanced Music, UFO Recordz, and Zero Cool.

Their latest single, “Acid Test,” comes via UFO Recordz, an independent record label founded in 2015 by Jacques Maurice Julie and Darren Johnathan Bezuidenhout. Acting as a home for electronic dance music and house music releases, events, booking, and artist management, UFO Recordz is an imprint company under the umbrella of UFO Network.

“Acid Test” races out of the gate with searing synths that alarm the listeners, but only to prep them for furious action set to unfold on the dance floor. High-paced percussion brings this song to life as vocals escalate to the drop at just over 1 minute — which takes over with an abrasive yet fun rhythm.
