MP3 PREP: 5 Things That Stand Out About Gem & Jam 2024

Taking place from February 2-4, Gem & Jam is no stranger to bringing the bass to the American southwest, and this year is no different. Bringing a huge handful of amazing acts to Tucson, Arizona year after year, this festival has become a household name in the festival scene. Now let’s jump into 5 things to be excited about with Gem & Jam 2024:

Art Installations

We all have been to a self proclaimed festival where it’s just a grass lot, a stage, some speakers, and that’s about it. We’re looking forward to seeing all the works of art that bring this festival to life and really glue the whole vibe of the event together. Gem and Jam are looking for creative individuals or teams to bring their unique flair to the festival if this sounds like you check out the application on their website.

Craft Vendors

It’s always a good time walking around vendor villages at festivals like Gem and Jam and this should be no different. The music scene is a big family, but a small tight knit community so shopping and supporting the vendors at any festival always feels good. Supporting feels even better when they are people from our own community selling handmade goods or that rave fit you didn’t even know you needed. You can expect to find all your usual festi wears and pashminas, but something that makes this place special is of course all of the different gemstones being used in the craft made items.

Sustainability

Gem and Jam is not just another festival that doesn’t care about their impact on the environment. Partnering with Green Disco, they have jumped head first into making a positive impact at the place they have called home for 15 years now. Planting 15 trees so far in heat vulnerable areas, as well as encouraging concert goers to leave no trace this is something we love to see from music festivals.

The Lineup

Boasting an eclectic line up every year, their 15th installation is no different. No matter if you want to groove out to some sweet jams, bang your head to some bass, or bounce the night away to house music Gem and Jam has something for everyone in the squad.

We’re particularly looking forward to Of The Trees, Maddy O’neal Break Science, Boogie T, A Hundred Drums, Jantsen, LP Giobbi, The Disco Biscuits and well, so many more to be honest!

Last but not least, a DJ Contest

DJ’s get excited, this your chance to play the famed Gem and Jam Festival. You could play alongside 50 multi genre acts if you submit a DJ mix by January 18th. As well as getting to play this awesome festival the winner will get 2 tickets for the entire 3 days of the festival, 2 VIP upgrades, a car camping pass, and $100.
