MP3 PREP: Under 100 days to Cascade Equinox Festival 2024
As the festival season charges full steam ahead, the preparation for each event becomes a task in itself. Welcome to MP3 PREP, your ultimate guide to navigating the pulsating world of music festivals. Here’s what you need to know about some of the highly-anticipated performances at Cascade Equinox this year.
Last year the inaugural Cascade and it was truly something magical and memorable. Bringing attendees from miles around, this festival also cares about the local surrounding communities. In addition to the local community there are also some world class acts to be excited about.
You can expect music from groovy jam bands to wonky dubstep, so there is always something to enjoy. We will be dancing our days away and raving deep into the night. So now let’s jump into 5 reasons to get excited about Cascade.
1. Friday Night Lineup
We’re starting off right with amazing acts: CloZee, Daily Bread, Dirtwire, Wajatta, and many more.
CloZee is no stranger to the big stage playing massive festivals globally such as Lollapalooza Paris among so many others. More recently she has been playing the US festival circuit at such notable places like Lightning in a Bottle 2024. We had the opportunity to see Daily Bread at Gem and Jam this year and the crowd was nothing short of electric and in tune with their signature style of funky trip-hop.
Dirtwire brings to the lineup a mixture of blues and bass sure to keep the body moving. Last but not least Wajatta is an exciting collaborative project between Reggie Watts and John Tejada featuring live instrumentation.
2. Saturday night Lineup
Everything is set to jump off on Saturday with Liquid Stranger, STS9, Deltron 3030, and Ravenscoon.

Liquid Stranger will surely be a weird and wubby set where the harder the crowd interacts with the music the harder he plays. Being an OG in the Dubstep scene, he is no stranger to throwing his annual Wakaan Festival, also having an epic B2B with Excision at Lost Lands in 2023.
Fusing rock and electronic with a heavy dose of psychedelia, STS9 is a beloved jam band that has been frequenting the festival circuit for years. Deltron 3030 is well known as a rap trio featuring notable names like Deltron the Funky Homosapian, Automator and DJ Kid Koala. You may remember Deltron from his massive hit songs with The Gorillas. Bringing heavy mesmerizing bass sure to leave you headbanging, Ravenscoon is a face melting act that is not to be missed.
3. Sunday Night Lineup
Finishing out what is set to be a remarkable weekend, we have none other than Marc Rebillet, Jungle, Wreckno, Willdabeast, Sugarbeats and so many more.
The internet sensation Marc Rebillet is so much more than just an internet artist recently playing Coachella in 2024. Get ready for live looping, instrumentation and fun high energy musical improvisation.
Coming from the United Kingdom, Jungle is a dance music band playing funk and nu-disco.
State side Wreckno is quickly making a name for themselves and is quickly becoming an icon in the EDM scene. In June MP3 named Bandon Wisniski aka Wreckno our Artist of The Month.
Dropping music on Westwood Recordings and Muti Music, Sugarbeats are a fun and funky bass music duo from southern Oregon.
Bringing horn fueled hybrid bass, Willdabeast is another act bringing live instrumentation to their dance music performance at Cascade Equinox.
4. Sustainability Efforts
Cascade greeted every patron with a friendly smile and free trash bags to use at their camp last year. This was only one of the indicators that this festival actually cares right from the start.
This year Cascade is ramping up the green efforts by ensuring all food and drink is served in fully biodegradable cups, plates and cutlery. Additionally this year it is highly encouraged to sort your trash into recycle and landfill/biodegradable, with multiple drop off stations located throughout the festival.
As if that isn’t enough, every year at camping festivals world wide, massive amounts of camping gear gets used one time and left behind or simply thrown in the trash. At Cascade there will be a donation station in order to cut down on this unnecessary waste.
5. Feast to Festal, a Farm to Table Dinner:
This is just one more way that Cascade shows love to the local community. Feast to Festival is a nonprofit event, and will donate proceeds from this evening to Waldorf School of Bend. At this elegant dinner you can expect a 5 course meal with wine pairing and a cocktail to welcome you to the festivities. Non alcoholic beverages will also be provided. This exclusive event hosted by Feast Food Co features only the freshest local ingredients from the surrounding communities. To top things off as you dine on this exquisite meal, there will be three live music acts serenading you throughout the night.
